 Oneota Township School, maybe the first school that was built in the Duluth area. Oneota was platted in 1858 by the Merritt, Wheeler, and Ely families. It went from about 39th Ave. to 47th Ave. West and from the bay to Oneota Cemetery. Oneota merged with West Duluth in 1888 and with Duluth in 1894. Zenith Web Site.
