Emily 'Lada' Schupp was born in Duluth in 1884 to William and Amelia Victoria (Kugler) Schupp.  She attended Duluth Central but spent the majority of her life studying interpretive dance in Europe and Russia and became a pioneer in the art. She toured Europe ad the U.S. as a solo dancer and preformed also at Carnegie Hall in N.Y. She passed away in 1964. Zenith Web Site
