Gypsies camped in Lincoln Park in July 1907.  About 30 gypsies led by 'King Joe Smith and his wife Maude' camped in the park and bothered West End merchants by trying to sell their fortune telling services to customers.  This poor picture was taken by the paper and they had to pay for taking the photo of Maude and for the interview of 'King Joe Smith.'
