'Ben Hur' Lyceums Theatre's largest audience for an 8 day run opened in Dec. 1903.  Twelve train cars carried the scenery and they had a cast of 315 with a crew of 45. Tread mills were built on stage so the 16 horses could run in the chariot scenes. Zenith Web Site.
