 Duluth Bethel new home in 1911 at 23 Mesaba Ave. The mission was the same as the old Bethel to house needy men. Â The facility could house 200 residents. Â They moved to this area because the 'Bowery' had shifted from the current Canal Park area to the west side of downtown. Currently the facility serves both men and women in their recovery from substance abuse.
