Munger, Roger 1830-1914, Born in Connecticut and moved into the Zenith City in 1869 and built a home along Mesaba Ave.  Series of firsts Mr. Munger was involved in: first flower mill, first coal dock, first sawmill, first obera house, first Board of Trade, first school board, first city council, and first park board.  He also took charge of the hiring of the company (W. W. Williams & Co.)for the  digging of the Duluths Ship Canal 1870-71.  He served as President of the Imperial Flour Mill and Duluth Iron and Steel.   He was also involved in the lumber business.  Image Public Library, Zenith Web Site
