K.I. Dresser hit the gas instead of the brake and drove through the rail on the transfer bridge July 1918.  He caused Bridgman-Russell's horse and wagon to also go through the rail.  Dresser was saved the horse and wagon sank to the bottom and was recovered latter with the horse still in harness and drowned.
